HPRSA

As I enter the workforce one of the things I am most grateful for is the Hispanic Public Relations Student Association here at UF. Being the first student chapter, HPRSA at UF has set the example for other schools to also start their own chapters. This organization has connected me with countless professionals of Latino descent and other students that share the same passion for communication. Through HPRSA I have made so many friends who have helped guide me through internship applications, job interviews and course selection.

Being a part of this organization has also made me realize that you don’t have to be born somewhere to be a Latino. Growing up as a first-generation United States Citizen I often struggled with my identity because I never felt that I fit in with either culture. HPRSA helped me realize that you don’t have to be one or the other, both are okay. HPRSA has also connected me with inspiring professionals like Natalie Asorey who always sets the example for going above and beyond for what you are passionate about.
